Pakistan to dispatch its first astronaut in space by 2022
Earlier promised Media University will be a hub of NUTECH now.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) –Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhary announced to dispatch Pakistan‘s first astronaut into space by 2022.
Fawad Chaudhary announced that three universities will be allocated to prepare the curriculum for science field.
He expressed that these universities will be set at Prime Minister House Islamabad with the financial help of China.
He also announced the establishment of Media University as a department at National University of Technology (NUTECH). Earlier promised institution will be a hub of NUTECH now.
The Minister announced to observe August as the month of Science and Technology whereas he also announced the Pakistan’s first science fair in August this year where he encouraged people to showcase their innovation.

Fawad Chaudhary said, “An international science conference will also be arranged on 31st of August this year, where scientists of reputed institutions will be invited to participate.”
Talking about his new initiatives, he also included the solarizing of PM Secretariat and other 30 towns for clean water initiative. He added that 16 towns will be selected for waste-to-energy (WtE) process.
Fawad expressed that Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of Pakistan has become functional, which will help increase Pakistan‘s exports.
“The research on developing a science subject that is inspired by the ideology of spiritualism seems like a great deal to get things running in the upcoming University of Emerging Sciences,” he added.
