Science and Technology Park to be established in Islamabad

(Web Desk) - Ministry of Science and Technology has formulated a plan to establish a science and technology park in Islamabad, APP reported on Monday.

The park will facilitate the students with modern tools for scientific research.

In this regard, the COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) will collaborate with the team, said an official while talking to APP.

Moreover, the government has allocated Rs50 million for the project, the official said. He said that the feasibility report of the project has been prepared by a renowned company.

COMSATS University Rector Dr Raheel Qamar asserted that the park would promote scientific education among the students.

This will also increase entrepreneurship across the country, he added.

This implies that the students will have an opportunity to generate new ideas and innovation, and perform certain experiments for implementation of those ideas.

The project is expected to be commenced on the priority basis.
