IT minister stresses need for accelerated digitisation
The minister was speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said Thursday that IT based technologies would be introduced rapidly in public sector for its efficient working and achieving required results.
He stated this while speaking at a ceremony titled Smart Governance and Emerging Pakistan organised in connection with SAP Public Sector Day in Islamabad.
“In accordance with requirements of the present age and future, it is a dire need to digitise governance to ensure quality service delivery, compiling data, observing privacy and developing management on pattern of international standard,” said Siddiqui.
The ceremony was attended by CEOs of IT sector, world reputed organisations, high officials, research technologists and IT students.
