Mario placed on Google Maps, but why?
The beloved gaming character Mario is now in the Google Maps
(Web Desk) – In view of the partnership between Google and Nintendo ahead of Mario Day, March 10, the search engine giant has placed the beloved gaming character Mario in the Google Maps.
The mustachioed plumber will also make an appearance in Google Maps’ navigation, if the users opt in to have Mario to accompany them on the journey.
Google announced that the latest update in the Google Maps app on both iOS and Android.

One can notice a yellow question mark icon at the bottom right of the app’s screen after entering the destination. By tapping this, the users will get a prompt to enable “Mario Time”.
The navigation arrow in Google Maps is then replaced with Mario – who accompanies the users in his little red go-kart during the entire trip. It will be available for a full week, says Google.
