A machine that applies mehndi: Pakistani youth invents 'Mehndi Printer'
Dubai-based businessman offered to invest in the commercial sale of mehndi printer gadget
(Web Desk) – A Pakistani youth in Karachi invented a machine named Mehndi Printer machine to allow people in applying henna designs on the body without manual effort.
According to media reports, women will neither have to spend time in the beauty parlours nor hire services of a professional in applying mehndi as they can now select their preferred design of henna and ask the machine to apply it anywhere on the arm.
It only takes a few minutes for the machine to prepare the mehndi design and apply it on the body.
The machine is made of a camera and sensors, and can be connected with a laptop. It has a thin needle which pours henna and moves in accordance with the design to replicate it on the hand or arm.
The inventor of the henna printer machine has aimed to instal the device in shopping malls and stalls to help reduce the manual, tidious labour.
The machine is made by an engineer of the Bahria University, named Ubaidullah. He spent $200 on creating the gadget in no more than five months.
Ubaidullah has presented the mehndi printer at various startup displays and tech expos. He was approached by a Dubai-based businessman who offered to invest $100,000 in he commercial sale of the device.
