(Web Desk)- WhatsApp, a freeware and cross-platform instant messaging service for smartphones, has partially resumed functioning after facing temporary suspension of 30 minutes.

As per details, the popular freeware messaging service was hit by outage in several areas of world including Europe, Indonesia, Malaysia, India and Pakistan. The incident occurred at 1:00PM local time today.

The website Down Detector showed a huge spike in problems with the app, showing that thousands were unable to get online.

Panicked users have taken to other forms of social media to complain they can t use the service as the global problem emerged.
