Summary South Korean tech giant unveiled its Galaxy S8, Plus smartphones on Wednesday in NYC

(Web Desk) – Samsung unveiled its much-awaited Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus on Wednesday in a New York City ceremony and here is what the flagship device has to offer to its customers.

Here is all that is going around about the smartphone:

  • Infinity Display; maximum vision with lesser bezels on the lateral sides

  • Corning Gorilla Glass 5 back panel

  • 18.5:9 instead of Samsung’s usual 16:9 display

  • No physical button, virtual main 3D touch instead




  • Processors of the devices to be launched in US will support Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor whereas those launched in EMEA state will have Exynos 8895 processors
  • 64GB internal storage

  • 4GB RAM

  • 12MP primary cam; 2160p@60fps or 1080p@120fps shooting

  • Galaxy S8 and Plus both are water and dust resistant

  • Non-combustible, non-removable 3,000mAH battery for flagship device

  • Latest Android software; Nougat 7.0

  • Voice assistant called Bixby

Samsung, after a successful unveiling yesterday in the United States, will roll out the smartphone on April 21.

S8+ has a bigger display than S8 and is priced higher than that. S8 will be available for $720 (Rs 75,000) while S8+ for $840 (Rs 88,000). However, the Pakistani prices will vary.
