Summary Chats will now self-destruct after a fixed time to secure privacy

(Web Desk) – With a barrage of updates, bug-fixes and new features introduced by multiple apps, Viber is set to initiate self-destructing chat for securer privacy.

Viber, with more than 800 million registered users mainly in Asia, Eastern Europe and North Africa has introduced a feature loosely called secret chats that will self-destruct after a fixed time.



]The feature disallows forwarding of any secret chat.

In iOS running mobile handset, the user is notified when someone takes a screenshot while in Android, screenshots are blocked.

Users can hide their secret chats if they wish, using a PIN code.

According to an online media outlet, the feature is set to be rolled out for Android and iOS systems in coming week.
