Summary Zhang also got the chance to work with Google animators to bring her drawing to life.

NEW YORK (Web Desk) - An eleven-year-old from New York beat thousands of other entries to get her drawing "Back to Mother Nature" on Google's homepage on Monday.

Audrey Zhang won the 2014 Doodle 4 Google competition and Google turned her drawing into a moving animation after asking for drawings with the theme of "If I Could Invent One Thing to Make the World a Better Place...".

Zhang was inspired to draw a doodle of an exotic water purifying machine when she learned how many children in the world lack the ability to get clean water.

Students across the country were asked to redesign the Google logo to reflect the theme, "If I could invent one thing to make the world a better place." Out of more than 100,000 submissions, 250 state finalists, 50 state winners and five national age group winners, 11-year-old Audrey Zhang of New York won.
