Summary Pakistani mountaineer Sohail Sakhi from Hunza successfully summited Kangchenjunga at 8,586m, adding to his achievements of K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum I & II
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistani mountaineer Sohail Sakhi has added another feather to his cap by successfully summiting Kangchenjunga, the world’s third-highest peak.
Located in Nepal, Kangchenjunga stands at 8,586 meters. Sohail reached the summit at 12:15 am Nepal time.
Before officially climbing the peak, he was part of the rope-fixing team that prepared the route for other climbers.
Sohail Sakhi, hailing from Hunza, has previously conquered other major peaks including K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum I, and Gasherbrum II, establishing himself as one of Pakistan’s leading high-altitude mountaineers.
