LAHORE (Web Desk) - The glittering original trophy of FIFA World Cup has finally arrived in Pakistan for the second time in four years. The trophy arrival in Pakistan is part of FIFA’s Trophy Tour 2022 by Coca Cola.
Former World Cup winner from France Christian Karembeu stepped down carrying the 6.1kg Trophy from special chartered plane that flew in to Lahore from Uzbekistan.
At the Lahore Airport, Hajra Khan – Pakistan’s female football icon welcomed the trophy in Pakistan where it will stay for one day.
FIFA World Cup Trophy was displayed in an event at a local hotel in Lahore while Pakistan football team captain Saddam Hussain and former captain Kaleem Ullah also participated in the event. While Pakistani singers also performed at the event.
The FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour is an international roadshow, taking the one-of-a-kind, solid-gold Original FIFA World Cup Trophy to football fans into countries around the world to enjoy a rare, close-up view of the world football’s greatest prize.
The Trophy will be displayed at two different events in Lahore – one is for stakeholders and partners and other is for general public in which trophy will be placed for football fans at a concert later in the evening.
