PCB decides to sack Afridi

The PCB has decided to remove Shahid Afridi, Pakistans limited-overs captain, from captaincy.

According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) took the decision after Afridi’s statement against team management and infighting in the national side.Afirdi’s poor run of form during the series against the Windies can cost him his place in the team.The PCB served a show cause notice on Afridi, after he made public his differences with coach Waqar Younis. However, Afridi did not restrain himself from issuing statements on the media.Afridi, on his return from 3-2 ODI series win over West Indies in the Caribbean, hinted his differences with coach Waqar Younis.Although the differences in team management are not such that they could not be solved, I feel everyone should do his job and need not interfere in others work.The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that Afridi violated the code of conduct and an action would be taken against the one day captain on the report of the team manager and the coach.
