Haven't resigned, clarifies PHF secretary Shahbaz Senior.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former Olympian and Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) secretary Shahbaz Ahmed Senior clarified that he has not resigned from his post, Dunya News reported on Sunday.

The erstwhile captain expressed wonder over the news that he had given up his responsibility and former Olympian Asif Bajwa had replaced him.

“The designation of PHF secretary is not important, I will quit if people do not want me to work for the federation,” he maintained.

It is worth mentioning here that PHF President Khalid Sajjad Khokhar said on Saturday that Shahbaz resigned as he could not give enough time to the federation due to his assignment with PIA (Pakistan International Airlines).

In a video statement, Khokhar said that he had accepted Shahbaz’s resignation and announced former Olympian Asif Bajwa as his replacement.

Lauding Shahbaz’s services for the PHF, Khokhar said Shahbaz spent about three and a half years with me and worked beyond his capacity.
