The ICC released a 102 page detailed review of the spot fixing case involving the Muhammed Aamir, Muhammad Asif and Salman Butt. England has declared that access to that report is unlawful.

The ICC published the detailed review of the spot fixing case on their website which says that the players were punished for violating article 2 of the anti corruption code.It is written in the manuscript that in the last test Salman Butt was told to play a maiden over about which he did not inform the ICC. The ICC said in the review that Razzq Khan, Shahid Afridi, Waqar Younas, Mazhar Majeed and 15 witnesses were called. Jeff Lawson, Abdul Qadir, David Lloyd and Azhar Zaidi recorded their statements in favor of Salman Butt.Muhammad Asif’s witnesses include county coach Muhammad Haroon whereas Muhammad Aamir was unable to present any witnesses. The review also says that during the investigation, Muhammad Aamir, Muhammad Asif, Salman Butt and Mazhar Majeed’s mobile records were reviewed.According to the investigation, Salman Butt played a central role in the spot fixing case. He was convicted for breaking 6 laws while Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Aamir were convicted for breaking 5 laws each.Due to the ongoing investigation by the Scotland Yard, England has decaled the detailed review illegitimate.
