Pakistans trio returned to home after attending a six-day hearing at Doha, Qatar. Former Test Captain Salman Butt and fast bowlers Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir flew back to Pakistan on Thursday. However, they refused to talk to the media. The players were whisked inside their cars at the Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore to avoid any questioning from the media. While Muhammad Amirs lawyer Shahid Karim said that Amir will soon be freed from all charges and he has been freed from Oval test charges. Shahid Karim spoke briefly to the media and revealed their satisfaction about the hearing. We are satisfied with ICC hearing, Karim stated. The 3-member tribunal hearing their case has deferred the final verdict until 5 February, 2011. When asked about the outcome of the hearing, he said that they are barred from saying anything about the hearing.It was revealed by the tribunal judge that the Oval Test was also under investigation in addition to the Lords Test against England in August 2010 but the panel cleared the three players from the Oval Test allegations.
