MONTEVIDEO (AFP) - Fallen FIFA vice president Eugenio Figueredo arrived in his native Uruguay Thursday after being extradited from Switzerland to answer charges tied to the massive corruption scandal roiling international football.
Figueredo, 83, the former president of South American confederation CONMEBOL, was due to make an initial court appearance on arrival on charges of abusing his office.
