PRAGUE (AFP) - Lucie Safarova should be able to line up for the Czech Republic in November s Fed Cup final after returning home from hospital following a bacterial infection.

The world number five spent a week in hospital after contracting a fever and suffering from pain in her neck, caused by the infection.

She left hospital in her native Brno on Sunday and a day later she updated her Facebook status, saying: "Happy to be back home from hospital! I feel much better and hopefully I will be back soon on court! Thank you for your support and many nice messages!"

The 28-year-old was forced to miss this week s WTA Tour event in Tokyo but may play in Beijing from October 5-11.

She is also expected to be fit to play in the Fed Cup final in Prague against Russia from November 14-15, according to the team s spokesman Karel Tejkal.

Safarova is enjoying the best season of her career having reached the French Open final in June.
