FIFA World Cup-2010: Germany beat Australia by 4-0

Germany began their FIFA World Cup campaign with a bang, as they thrashed Australia 4-0 in the second Group D game. It was a splendid performance by the German players, which put the Aussies on back foot.Striker Lukas Podolski scored the first goal for Germany, while Miroslav Klose scored the second. Germany led 2-0 in the half time. Klose, who has now scored 49 goals in 97 games, missed a couple more, thanks to the German goalkeeper. However, Germany continued to attack the Australia goal post. Thomas Mller scored the third goal for Germany. Substitute Cacau played his part, as he scored the fourth goal. Australians failed to score even once and lost the match 0-4.
