Germany began their FIFA World Cup campaign with a bang, as they thrashed Australia 4-0 in the second Group D game. It was a splendid performance by the German players, which put the Aussies on back foot.Striker Lukas Podolski scored the first goal for Germany, while Miroslav Klose scored the second.
