A shoving match broke out on Friday at the weigh-in for this weekend's title fight between WBA super lightweight champion Amir Khan of Britain and challenger Paulie Malignaggi of New York.The boxers nearly came to blows when tension between the fighters and their entourages sparked an hysterical outbreak of pushing and shoving that security officers had to break up. Khan's manager Asif Vali countered that Malignaggi and his team knew the weigh-in at Essex House on the edge of Central Park was open. They knew it was going to be open to the public, he said. Amir is fine.For the record, Khan weighed in half a pound heavier than Malignaggi at 9st 13lbs 8oz.Khan, backed to win inside the distance by former champ Ricky Hatton (below), has ditched plans to quit within five years and now says he could fight on until he's 35.
