Summary China pulled 15 golds clear on the medals table.

Incheon (South Korea) (AFP) - World and Olympic swim champion Sun Yang showed no ill-effects from a thumb injury Tuesday as he set up an Asian Games revenge mission against Japan s Kosuke Hagino.

China s Sun, who was hurt in his shock 200 metres freestyle loss to Hagino, was fastest in the 400m heats to enter a showdown with Hagino and South Korean star Park Tae-Hwan.

As China pulled 15 golds clear on the medals table, Sun s 3min 51.17sec raised hopes they can claim their first men s win in the pool and hit back at Japan, the top swimming team so far.

Sun returned to the pool after sitting out Monday evening s 4x200m freestyle relay when China slumped to a big defeat against Hagino s Japan.
The 400m is also a big test for home hero Park Tae-Hwan, the former Olympic champion who is racing in an arena that bears his name and admits he is feeling the weight of expectation.

"I m feeling a bit of pressure and my body has been feeling a bit heavy," said Park, third in the 200m. "Hopefully I can swim my best in tonight s final and get a result."

Gold medals in shooting and wushu pushed China to 29 early on day four, well ahead of hosts South Korea, with 365 still in play before Asia s Olympics wraps up on October 4.

Teen sensation Yang Haoran, 18, led a clean sweep of the men s 10m air rifle event as the world champion claimed the individual title after helping China to team gold.

Teammate Cao Yifei picked up the silver with 208.9, conceding the lead to Yang in the last two shots of a well-contested eight-man final.

Bronze went to Abhinav Bindra, India s first and only individual Olympic gold medallist who has announced he is now retreating from full-time shooting.

"I have been shooting for the last 20 years -- there is nothing else I have done all these years -- and I know it s time to rethink my future," Bindra said.

Kazakhstan beat China to gold in the women s trap shooting to take their third title of the Games.
In squash, celebrated women s world number one Nicol David fought back from a game down against fellow Malaysian Low Wee Wern to successfully defend her title.

Apart from Sun s race, Japan s Yasuhiro Koseki is the man to beat in the men s 200m breaststroke and Chinese Olympic star Ye Shiwen is hot favourite in the women s 400m medley.

China s men take on hosts South Korea for the badminton team title, and in gymnastics, Japan s Yuya Kamoto will look to add Asian Games all-round gold to his Youth Olympics title.
