Summary Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is the chief guest of the final match.

LUDHIANA (Web Desk) – Pakistan will take on India in the men’s final of the 4th World Cup Kabaddi at Guru Nanak Stadium in Ludhiana on Saturday.

In the semi-finals, India crushed England by 63-32 points and Pakistan beat USA by 51-33 points. The winning team will take home a cash reward of Rs 2 crore.

Pakistan’s Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal have reached the stadium to watch the final match.

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal said, the presence of chief ministers of Punjab of both countries is likely to boost cultural, sports, tourism and trade ties between both countries.

Earlier, Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif on his visit to India said that India-Pakistan should resume peace talks.

Shahbaz emphasised that the Director General of Military Operations should meet as early as possible for tranquility and peace along LoC.

In a press meet, immediately after a meeting with the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Shahbaz said that he assured the Indian premier that Pakistan was always in favour of peace and speedy resolution of issues related to Siachen, water, Sir Creek, and Kashmir.

"War is not an option but brushing our problems under the carpet is also not an option...like intelligent and prudent nations, we should resolve issues between us,   he added.

On whether the PM had accepted the invite to visit Pakistan, Shahbaz said,   he appreciated the sentiments expressed by the Pakistan PM ...let s hope he visits Pakistan," he said.

He stated that Pakistan itself is a victim of militancy and terrorism. We strongly condemn all shades of militancy.
