Summary South Africa won the toss and elected to bowl first against Pakistan in the third and final ODI.

CENTURION (Dunya News) – Pakistan set 180 runs target for South Africa in third ODI and final ODI at the Super Sports Park, Centurion.

Pakistan batsmen again disappointed the fans and selectors by presenting very poor performances and lack of concentration.

Opener Ahmad Shehzad played only three balls and returned to the pavilion without scoring any run and second opener Umar Amin played comparatively better but scored only 25 runs on 35 balls.

Asad Shafiq played 10 balls and scored only one run, Sohaib Maqsood made 25 runs on 39 balls, Umar Akmal 5 on 26, Bilawal Bhatti 1 on 9, Anwar Ali 1 on 2, Abdur Rehman 22 on 40, Sohail Tanvir 6 on 11, Saeed Ajmal 0 on 4 balls.

Skipper Misbah again played long innings and supported the team at crucial time by scoring 79 runs on 107 balls.

All Pakistan team scored 179 runs and set 180 runs target for the host South Africa at completion of 46.5 overs.

South African bowlers again impressed with calculative bowling and did not allow the green shirts to score easy and frequent runs in the fixture.

The Proteas bowler VD Philander took three wickets, WD Parnell one while LL Tsotsobe, R Mclaren, and Tahir Imran took two wickets each.

The target set by Pakistan, 180 runs, is a very easy one in 50 overs for the strong and organized Proteas.

Pakistan made four changes for the game at SuperSport Park: resting batsmen Nasir Jamshed and Mohammad Hafeez, allrounder Shahid Afridi and bowler Junaid Khan while bringing in Umar Amin, Asad Shafiq, Abdur Rehman and Sohail Tanvir.

South Africa was missing three of its most experienced performers. Fast bowler Dale Steyn and Jacques Kallis have minor injuries while opening batsman Graeme Smith was given compassionate leave after his grandmother died.

Pakistan who are 2-0 up in the 3-match series are looking for their first ever clean sweep in South Africa.
