Summary KP Governor Engineer Shaukatullah urges to concentrate upon training and coaching of young players.
PESHAWAR (Online) – Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Shaukatullah while conceding to a proposal put forward by FATA Olympic Association for holding FATA Games, has given go ahead.
He expressed these views while presiding over 4th General Council Meeting of the Association at Governor’s House, here on Wednesday.
The Governor said that there is also the need to concentrate upon training and coaching of young players and enable them to achieve worthwhile laurels at the national games.
The Governor, who is also its President, pointed out that serious efforts are afoot to establish a sports complex of international standards in Khyber Agency which on completion will offer best available sports facilities to player from FATA.
The meeting attended by presidents and general secretaries of all the 22 associations, engaged in promotion of their respective games was briefed by Shahid Khan Shinwari, Secretary General of the organization about the agenda items as well as working and achievements of the organization.
The Director Sports FATA, Syed Faysal Jameel Shah was also present on this occasion.
Responding to various points, the Governor pointed out that players earning gold medals will be properly honoured and it will be ensured that their achievements are well acknowledged.
Talking on another point, the Governor also urged the concerned authorities to ensure purchase of quality sports equipment and make sure that players also avail the opportunities of getting training in their respective disciplines under guidance of efficient coaches.
