MONTBELIARD (AP) - Lyon came from behind to beat Sochaux 3-1 in the French league on Friday, scoring two goals in eight minutes to turn the match around.
Sochaux narrowly avoided relegation last season but got off to a good start when it was awarded a penalty in the fourth minute after Milan Bisevac shoulder-barged Cedric Bakambu off the ball. Ryad Boudebouz confidently converted.
However, after that it was all Lyon and the visitors pressure paid off in the 35th minute when the ever-dangerous Clement Grenier sent a through-ball in for teenager Yassine Benzia to score his first league goal.
Alexandre Lacazette gave Lyon the lead with his third goal in two games. Lyon extended its advantage moments after halftime, thanks to a well-placed effort from Yoann Gourcuff.
