PARIS (AP) - Novak Djokovic received a visit from a trainer late in his third-round match Saturday at the French Open, then completed a victory over No. 26-seeded Grigor Dimitrov, 6-2, 6-2, 6-3.
Walking to his changeover chair at 4-3 in the last set, Djokovic stretched his right arm several times and then was treated by the trainer, who applied ointment and massaged the Serb s upper arm.
Djokovic then won the final two games to close out the victory against a player who beat him in the Madrid final last month.
A six-time Grand Slam champion, Djokovic earned his 500th tour victory. The French Open is the only major tournament he has yet to win, and he s trying to become the eighth man to complete a career Grand Slam.
