PARIS (AP) - Adham Sharara of Canada has been re-elected president of the International Table Tennis Federation.
Sharara defeated challenger Stefano Bosi of Italy, head of the European Table Tennis Union, in a vote Wednesday at the federation s annual general meeting during the world championships in Paris.
The Canadian, who has been president for 14 years, won another four-year term.
Sharara says his goal is to "make sure table tennis is in the top five sports in the world."
