HINTERZARTEN: Japanese ski jump star Sara Takanashi retained her overall lead in the World Cup standings after finishing second here on Saturday.
The 16-year-old sensation, who was finishing on the podium for the sixth time this season and 13th of her career, finished second to American Sarah Hendrickson, who trails her by 149 points in the World Cup standings.
Takanashi, who has three victories to her credit this season, was third after the first jump but rallied to finish just 1.2 points behind her American rival after a superb second jump of 99 metres, the longest of the competition.
