India beat West Indies by seven wickets but still went out of the Champions Trophy. At New Wanderes Johannesburg, West Indies team showed a dull performance and got out for 129 in 36 overs. Six of the players went to pavilion without reaching double figure. Darren Samay made 33 runs and stayed on the top. Praveen Kumar and Ashish Nehra shared six wickets. In reply, Indian team was off to a poor start after Gautam Gambhir and Rahul Dravid departed in successive overs to leave the innings. But Karthik and Kohli played sensibly with their stand for the third-wicket. Virat Kohli finished unbeaten on 79. India scored 3 points wining one match whereas West Indies could not win any match in the tournament.
