Sebastien Loeb drove his Citroen into the lead by less than one second over teammate Mikko HIrvonen Friday (April 27) on day one of the WRC Rally Argentina.Drivers championship leader Loeb qualified fastest on Thursday and chose to start the opening stage first due to the threat of heavy rain forecast for later in the day. The rain never materialized but Loeb still managed to grab the top spot with a time of 2 hours, 20 minutes, and 30.6 seconds with Hirvonen just one tenth of a second behind.Dani Sordo, filling in for injured Ford factory driver Jari-Matti Latvala, finished the day in third place, 33.1 seconds behind Loeb.His temporary Ford factory teammate Petter Solberg faired much worse after ruining his Fiestas right front when he slid into a berm. The Norwegian, who sits just four points behind Loeb in the drivers standings, attempted to limp back to service but was forced to stop on stage.
