From there, he cruised to his maiden victory in time of one hour 50 minutes and six seconds. It was a good race. I made a good start. Right from the beginning, at the early stages of the race, the pace was not too fast. We were able to start out quite quickly on the bicycle. Seven of us worked quite hard but peloton caught up, Hauss said. After that I tried to rest for the running stage and then I really tried to set of quickly to close the gap on the breakaway group. I was in a good shape and I came back quite quickly so after two laps I controlled the race a little bit and I really enjoyed the last lap without pushing too hard, he added.
