Punjab government decided to close illegal slaughterhouses in wake of a report prepared by research cell team of Dunya News. On the instruction of DCO Lahore at least 20 illegal slaughter houses have been closed.Oil extracted from skins of dead rats, donkeys and horses was openly available in the market. Following the broadcast of the report DCO instructed the Punjab environmental authority to take action against these illegal slaughter houses.
