Lahore transporters have hopelessly decreased the stop-to-stop fares from Rs13 to Rs 10 and new fares would be charged from May 5. General Secretary of Punjab Transporters Association Arshad Khan said that the government has failed to address the problems of the transporters; resultantly they have decided to decrease the fares in despair. However, fares of others routes have also been decreased up to Rs3. Arshad Khan Niazi said that the government has been regularly increasing prices of petroleum products but it did nothing to end motor rikshaws.
