The spell of rain and snowfall continued for the third consecutive day across the country has dropped the mercury. Around 93mm rain was recorded in Turbat , while ice engulfed the up country areas.The downpour dropped mercury across the country, whereas the lower areas have been deluged as the Qalat and Swat Rivers flooded; the linking bridge on River Swat in Kanju has also been swept away. In NWFP showers reported at Lakki Marwat, Bannu and other towns, while Noshki, Chaman and Turbat in Baluchistan also received rainfall. Meanwhile, the train schedules have also been disrupted owing to the wet spell. According to officials, the trains coming to Lahore from Karachi are almost 5 to 6 hours late.
