At least nine people including assistant commissioner were injured on Monday when a blast took place outside the Junior Officers Residence in Chaman Housing Scheme area of Quetta. Police said that the blast was so powerful that the windowpanes of nearby buildings were shattered. Three vehicles and many motorcycles were also destroyed in the blast. Reports stated that the bomb was planted on a motorcycle. According to the police, all of the injured were civilians and had been shifted to civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment.
