Lahore: Dacoit killed in a police encounter

A dacoit got killed while another managed his escape during a police gun battle in the area of Sabzazar, Lahore. These dacoits also killed Ali Ahmed, a resident of Green Town area, when they went to rob him. The son of deceased Ali Ahmed informed police about the whereabouts of these dacoits in the vicinity of Green Town. Police tried stopped the dacoits who were riding a motorbike, who then opened fire on the police in retaliation. In crossfire, one of the dacoits, known as Rashid Ali got killed, where as his accomplice managed to escape. According to police, both dacoits were involved in robbery and snatching activities and a case has also been registered against them in Green Town police station.
