City District Government Lahore (CDGL) launched anti-encroachment operation in Kot Lakhpat area near railway lines, Dunya News Sunday reported. Officials demolished several shops in the operation while strict security measures had been taken during operation clean-up which was carried out on the request of Railway officials. The affected shopkeepers maintained that they hadnt received any prior information about the operation. They complained that they couldnt even shift their equipment before operation.
