Summary CDA has decided to launch operation for evacuation of Afghans in the first week of this month.
ISLAMABAD: Central Development Authority will evacuate Kachchi Abadi I-XI where Afghan population is residing without any permission.
Sources said the operation would be carried out in collaboration with district administration. All the homework in this regard has been completed by CDA.
In first phase of its campaign, CDA has collected the particulars in respect of all the houses and their inmates of the slum.
In the second phase the inmates would be asked to evacuate the settlement voluntarily and in the third phase operation will be carried out.
National Assembly Standing Committee on cabinet division has also set January 15 as deadline to get evacuate the Afghan Kachchi abadi. This slum has become security risk as the criminals have turned it into their safe den.
As per survey report over 864 families are housed in this settlement and members of these families run into 8000.
