Summary
A rally and protest held under the auspices of All Punjab Contract Employees Association in Multan. A large number of employees of Water Management participated in the rally. The rally started from Nawan Shehar Chowk and ended at the Press Club. The participants staged protest before the Press Club. They were of the view that under Services Rules 1973 all the employees would be permanent while they are still on contract. They said that the government has order to terminate 2700 contract employees of Water Management in all over the province that is totally unfair. They urged Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif to do the contract employees permanent.
