Peshawar: terror bid foiled, 7 landmines recovered

Peshawar Police have foiled terror bid recovering seven landmines from the Pawaki area of Peshawar, Dunya News reported Sunday. According to Police, Pushtkhara Police Station received information that unknown persons have planted 7 landmines under a Bridge in Pawaki area near Peshawar airport upon which police acted quickly. Meanwhile, Bomb Disposal Squad has diffused the landmines, each weighing about seven pounds. Police said that terrorists wanted to target Peshawar International Airport situated a few meters ahead of the bridge. An FIR has been filed in Pushtkhara Police Station against unknown persons.
