Summary FIA arrested employee of Pakistan Forest Institute Peshawar on corruption charges of Rs 91 million.

 

According to media reports, Muhammad Amjad s/o Muhammad Zaman who is among the PIF staff withdrew millions of rupees from State Bank on bogus cheques in the name of construction of a public park in District Attock.

 

The development project completed in 2009 whereas the accused kept chequebooks with him and withdrew the amount illegally.

 

A cheque book, Rs 2.3 million of cash, two cars, and expensive phones have been recovered from the accused.

 

Muhammad Amjad also bought property in different cities, while further investigations are going on.
