Summary Two bombs recovered from GT Road near Nishtarabad Chowk were defused on Thursday.
According to details, the police were informed about a suspicious parcel on GT Road. They rushed to the site and opened the parcel to find a bomb inside.
Before long, police, moving into action, put the security cordon off GT Road and evacuated the shops. Bomb disposal squad was called in, which defused the bomb.
Meantime, while scouring through the area, police recovered another bomb wrapped up in shopper bag. Both the bombs were defused through controlled blasting method.
Officials said one of the bombs had 500-gram explosives and the other had three kilograms of weight.
