Summary Rawalpindi police are facing shortage of security personnel as 2046 vacancies have not been filled.
According to the sources, 2046 vacancies were lying in Rawalpindi police. Announcement for employing police constables were made twice during the current year but the appointments were delayed, they added.This situation is creating problems in maintaining law and order in the city.Sources in Rawalpindi police said that a large number of constables are deployed on security and protocol of VIPs and enough security personnel are not available to be employed in police stations.
