The polio campaign across the country has come to an end however more than 1 million children remain deprived of polio vaccination.According to a data provided to the media, the target of the polio campaign was to vaccinate more than 30 million children across the country. However more than 1 million children could not be administered the polio drops while parents of more than 53 thousand refused to get their children immunized.In Sindh, parents of more than 21,000 children, under the age of 5, refused to get their children immunized from the crippling disease.According to the data, on the concluding day of polio campaign, Oct 19, only 1.435 million children were administered polio drops.The World Health Organization has expressed concern over the reports that such a large number of children were deprived of immunization.
