No one accepts Dogar as chief justice: Justice Ramday

No one accepts Abdul Hameed Dogar as chief justice and his legal and constitutional status will be reviewed, Supreme Court Judge Justice Khalilur Rehman Ramday said. In his arguments during hearing of Justice Bin Yameen case in Supreme Court, Rashid A Rizvi said the appointments of judges from November 3, 2007 to December 15 are illegal. Malik Qayyum, the attorney of Justice Bin Yameen said everyone had accepted Dogar as chief justice and he does not want to indulge in argument on this point. In his remarks, Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry has asked to argue about Justice Dogars status. Malik Qayyum said government and President Asif Ali Zardari had accepted Abdul Hameed Dogar as chief justice in the past. Commenting on this, Justice Khalilur Rehman Ramday said no one has accepted Dogar as chief justice and the court is not interested who has owned Dogar as chief justice. The court adjourned till July 29.
