The Federal Cabinet has approved the New Trade Policy in its session chaired by Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani. PM said that all the resources would be used to increase exports. Trade Minister told the session that the trade targets could not be met following a global economic recession. PM directed the minister to encourage foreign investors to meet the export targets. PM took the cabinet into confidence on his meeting with Indian PM Manmohan Singh held in Sharam El Sheikh. The session also discussed the electricity crisis and the steps being taken for the IDPs rehabilitation.
