ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has called for concerted efforts to provide relief to deserving segments of society under the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme.
Chairing a joint meeting on the fuel subsidy scheme, Dar reviewed the performance of the National Steering Committee and the Media Management Committee overseeing the prime minister’s fuel relief initiative.
He stressed the need for effective coordination among the relevant ministries and the efficient utilisation of available resources to ensure that relief reached eligible beneficiaries.
The meeting appreciated the proposals and cooperation extended by all provincial governments, as well as the governments of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The meeting was attended by the ministers for information technology, climate change and petroleum. The minister of state for finance, the prime minister’s special assistant and senior officials from the relevant ministries also participated.
