ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke with Foreign Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah on Monday.

During the telephonic conversation, the two foreign ministers discussed bilateral relations and cooperation in areas of mutual interest and exchanged views on regional developments.

They agreed to remain in close contact and meet on the sidelines of the upcoming UNGA session.

Earlier, Pakistan categorically rejected India's baseless assertions regarding the status of Jammu and Kashmir which are contrary to internationally recognized facts.

Foreign Office Spokespersons Sajjad Haider Khan stated this while responding to media queries regarding the statement issued by India's Ministry of External Affairs on the map of disputed Jammu and Kashmir region.

India's unilateral actions and continued illegal occupation cannot alter the internationally recognized disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir.

Jammu and Kashmir dispute remains one of the oldest unresolved, internationally recognized disputes on the agenda of the United Nations Security Council.

The official United Nations maps, which depict Jammu and Kashmir as a disputed territory, remain the only cartographic representation of its current legal status.
