LAHORE (Muhammad Ashfaq) - Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi has praised the working mechanism and professional performance of the Punjab Prosecution Department, describing its overall performance as satisfactory.

The chief justice made the remarks during a meeting with Prosecutor General Punjab Chaudhry Irfan Sadiq Tarrar and a delegation in Lahore.

The delegation, led by Prosecutor General Punjab Chaudhry Irfan Sadiq Tarrar, included Additional Prosecutor General Punjab Ahmed Raza Gilani, Deputy Prosecutor General Punjab Irfan Zia and Deputy Prosecutor General Punjab Muhammad Arshad Ali Farooqi.

During the meeting, Justice Yahya Afridi said he appreciated the working style and professional performance of Punjab Prosecution. He remarked that he liked the department’s method of working and that its prosecutors possessed strong professional capabilities.

The chief justice said he had no complaints regarding Punjab Prosecution and considered its overall performance satisfactory. He described the department’s performance as a model for other provinces and advised them to seek guidance from Punjab Prosecution and benefit from its experience and effective working system to further improve their prosecution services.

The appreciation by the chief justice for the department’s performance and the professional capabilities of its prosecutors was described as an encouraging development for Punjab Prosecution officers and prosecutors.

According to Punjab Prosecution, the department has introduced various measures to modernize the prosecution system, enhance professional capacity, use modern technology and improve the effective delivery of justice.

Prosecutor General Punjab Chaudhry Irfan Sadiq Tarrar termed the chief justice’s appreciation of the department’s performance an honor for the entire organization.

He said the encouragement would motivate officers and prosecutors to perform their duties with greater dedication, commitment and professionalism.

The prosecutor general reaffirmed that Punjab Prosecution would continue and accelerate reforms and initiatives aimed at strengthening the rule of law, ensuring effective delivery of justice and providing modern and high-quality prosecution services.
