Summary Pakistan and Turkiye marked the 104th anniversary of Victory Day at GHQ Rawalpindi, reaffirming longstanding defence ties and strategic partnership.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - A ceremony marking the 104th anniversary of Victory Day of the Turkish Armed Forces was held at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, with Türkiye’s Ambassador to Pakistan Irfan Naziroglu attending as the chief guest.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the ceremony highlighted the fraternal ties and close bilateral relations between Pakistan and Turkiye, which are rooted in shared values, mutual respect and a long history of unwavering support.
Participants paid tribute to the courage, sacrifices and services of the Turkish Armed Forces and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the longstanding defence and strategic partnership between Pakistan and Turkiye.
The ceremony was attended by officers of the Pakistan Army, officials from the Embassy of the Republic of Turkiye and other distinguished guests, ISPR said.
The event concluded with expressions of goodwill and best wishes for the people and armed forces of Turkiye.
