Summary Punjab Assembly will consider five amendment bills, departmental questions, calling-attention notices and annual reports during its August 31 session.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Punjab Assembly Secretariat has issued the agenda for the provincial assembly session scheduled for August 31.
The session will be held on Monday at 2pm under the chairmanship of Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan. Proceedings will begin with recitation from the Holy Quran, Naat and the national anthem.
During the session, relevant departments will respond to lawmakers’ questions concerning housing, urban development and public health engineering. Oral responses to the calling-attention notices included in the agenda will also be presented.
Adjournment motions concerning various departments will be moved and debated in the House.
The annual reports of the Ravi Urban Development Authority and Lahore Central Business District Development Authority for the year 2022-23 will also be tabled before the assembly.
In addition, annual reports for different years of the Punjab Danish Schools and Centres of Excellence Authority and the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board will be presented.
According to the agenda, the Punjab Centre of Excellence on Countering Violent Extremism (Amendment) Bill 2026, Punjab Judicial Academy (Amendment) Bill 2026, Punjab Food Safety Laws (Amendment) Bill 2026, Anti-Terrorism (Punjab Amendment) Bill 2026 and Punjab Assets Management Authority Bill 2026 will be presented for approval.
The five bills will be considered by the Punjab Assembly after recommendations from the relevant standing committees.
